JOHN DORSEY
the land of over sized children i. someone said we are the children of god jesus and george washington the sun hung super sized with emotion whispering love is simply misdirected hate with a cherry on top ii. here we are seething with regret it is the swooning love song of the dead perhaps everyone you've ever known has called it magic the last stencils on earth it figures that the last product of real revolution would be hiding in some cellar in mexico pancho villa gene bloom together swallowing words soaked in blood fighting mad in the sacramento sun they don't make bullets like this anymore some say they never did sacred alphabet of love city sing me your sacred alphabet of love i sit weeping on your steps a ghost waiting in the ruins of history's sandbox a stolen kiss made in the factory of an alien god i remember the years when love didn't get my address wrong when i would sit on a bench in rittenhouse square waiting silently as the rain came down like a fallen soldier in palsied revolt spelling out all of the ancient sonnets in between each moment of heavily revised sanity if only you would sing to me now John Dorsey currently resides in Toledo, OH. He is the author of "Harvey Keitel, Harvey Keitel, Harvey Keitel" with S.A. Griffin and Scott Wannberg, Butchershop Press/Rose of Sharon Press/Temple of Man, 2005, and "Moshing With The Cosmos" with Iris Berry, Magenta Press, 2005.
