UNDERGROUND VOICES: POETRY

JJ CAMPBELL

Picture Perfect

it's a picture perfect
world of misery

it's the little bit of
shit underneath
your fingernail

it's the endless nights
where a frightening
dawn can't come
soon enough

struggling to crawl
back up the cross for
you know you're more
ready for death now
than ever

kiss the world goodbye
my friend

and no regrets this
time

just face the facts

they'll never know
you're gone
